	Events The Wilmington Parks are home to a variety of recurring events during the year. Among them: Flower Market - May 7-9, 2009 - Rockford Park Hands Across the Brandywine - May 19, 2009 - Brandywine Park Evening Concert Series - June - August 2010 - Rockford Park The Friends organize events during the year to raise funds to continue their work in the Wilmington State Parks. Our Children's Photo Event on August 8 at Laura Novak's Little Nest Studios was a huge success. Thanks to Friends' volunteers Lynn & Peter Calder, Sara & Joe Toner, Jennifer Callahan and Mike Porro for all their efforts. Special thanks to the staff at Little Nest Studios and to Laura Novak who is graciously donating the proceeds from the event to the Friends.
