Hands Across the Brandywine

On Tuesday, May 15, 2007, hundreds of school children participated in "Hands Across the Brandywine", a yearly environmental awareness event organized by Friends of Wilmington Parks.

This was the 15th consecutive year for the event. More than 900 students and chaperones from Warner Elementary and Highlands Elementary schools participated in activities in Brandywine Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The hands-on activities included "Nature Games", "Save the Environment!" and "Wiggle Worms".
