Rockford Park

In 1889, William Pool Bancroft, father of Wilmington's park system, gifted 59 acres of land to the city to establish Rockford Park. Today, more than 104 acres of meadow and woodland constitute the park.

Prominently positioned at the top of the hill is Rockford Tower, a 115-foot tall, stone water tower. Fee-based programming is available for groups. Contact Barbara Woodford, (302) 577-7020, for details.
